Andover's Fantini goes from walk-on to star
In 2008, senior Camille Fantini was just the fifth leading scorer at Andover High. Yet, now she might be the MVP for Division 2 Southern Connecticut, which boasts a 14-3 record. It's not because of any growth spurt. She was listed as 5-8 at Andover but now is listed at 5-6.
Proposal pitched to raise Connecticut minimum wage
HARTFORD -- In announcing a proposal to raise the minimum wage by $1.50 an hour in Connecticut, Rep. Chris Donovan, D-Meriden, quoted an unlikely source: Ronald Reagan.
Under the Lights: Niang shattering area scoring mark
Scoring King Yesterday vs. Holderness, Tilton senior star Georges Niang of Methuen was expected to surpass Chris Vetrano (Andover High '04) as the area's all-time scoring king. Niang, who has had the advantage of playing five years, and Vetrano (2,090) are the region's only 2,000-point scorers.
